South Africa’s former team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee has called on the national team to take a unified approach when expressing an on-field stance on the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.Moosajee was speaking at the Social Justice and Nation-Building (SJN) hearings where he expressed his disappointment at the divided stance within the team on taking the knee. The men’s national team have given its members the option of taking a knee, raising a fist or standing to attention before matches, Notably, all the players of colour, along with some white players, have opted for taking the knee, while others have selected alternative options. After a decade of culture camps aimed at cultivating inclusion, Moosajee expressed his disappointment that the team could not agree on a single gesture.Related

“Unfortunately, some current players appear to be misinformed and believe taking the knee is supporting the notion that black lives matter more,” he said. “They need to be educated so that they appreciate that taking the knee is all about a stand against racism and discrimination and supporting the notion that Black lives matter as much.”It is a pity that the Proteas Team have not adopted a unified approach to the issue and highlights that even though we have been having discussions for a number of years already, these discussions need to continue, because we still have some way to go to get all our people to fully appreciate the injustices of the past. I would like to see a recommendation from the Ombudsman [Dumisa Ntsebeza] urging the Proteas to adopt a unified approach.”Moosajee was involved with the national team in various roles for 16 years until 2019, first as the doctor and then combining it with the role of team manager. He said he believed greater levels of understanding have been achieved since a camp held in 2010, which he and then-captain Graeme Smith conceptualised. Several allegations of racism during the Smith captaincy era have been made at the SJN.”In 2010, Graeme Smith and I believed that it was necessary to build an inclusive team culture and for members of the squad to have a greater appreciation of people from different backgrounds, races and religions,” Moosajee said.”The objective of building the team culture was to build an authentic, diverse and inclusive sense of identity, with due regard to our fractured past and history. I believed that it was important for the team to talk about race, class and culture, but I was also conscious of the fact that building a team culture would not happen overnight. It required unwavering commitment, strong leadership and continuous reinforcement.”The three-day camp was formed with information gathered from Sporting Edge and Hoko – team culture companies who assisted the New Zealand rugby team – and included expert advice from Ahmed Kathrada, a contemporary of Nelson Mandela. These specialists ran two surveys, including one with members of the public who said they believed the national rugby team, the Springboks, were better ambassadors for the country than the cricket side.Moosajee admitted to being surprised at the survey results, “because at the time even though the Proteas had not won a World Cup, they were the top-ranked Test-playing nation and had more black players (on a percentage basis) than the Springboks.”The outcome of the camp was a four-minute video, which was played at SJN but never released publicly. It featured Smith at the Wanderers, interspersed with a Mandela speech, an interview with rugby world-cup winning captain John Smit, and fans of all races reminding the team: “you represent me.”According to Moosajee, the camp was successful in starting “the journey to get the team more united and in my view had positive outcomes.” Among those were that more players of colour started to be selected for the national side, although Moosajee acknowledged, “the camp was not the sole reason for this.” He credited “more diverse franchise and provincial teams, diversity amongst coaches and administrators in the affiliate members of CSA” and “targets/quotas,” as also playing a role.Kagiso Rabada takes a knee before the start of the warm-up game•ICC via Getty

“In my view, the targets or quotas gave opportunities to people of colour and many of them proved that they could be world-class performers on the international stage. Examples include Makhaya Ntini, Herschelle Gibbs, Ashwell Prince, Hashim Amla, Vernon Philander, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi. They were undoubtedly good enough, but they may not have been given the necessary opportunities, if it was not for the quotas or targets.”But he criticised the quota system for having the “unintended consequences,” of relying on elite schools to produce players and leaving underprivileged areas in a state of neglect while also creating a comfort zone for players. “Certain players, who had become “undroppable”, because their inclusion in a team is necessary to meet the quotas / targets. A few of these players allowed their fitness levels to wane and were guilty of disciplinary misdemeanours, but these misdemeanours went unpunished, because there were concerns that the quotas / targets would not be met.”He offered a specific example in Lonwabo Tsotsobe, who has also testified at the SJN, and who Moosajee said had never passed any of the 15 skin-folds tests he had with the national team and failed numerous yo-yo fitness tests. “As opposed to being discriminated against for being black, Mr Tsotsobe benefitted from being black. An example of this is when he was initially left out of the Proteas Squad for the 2013 tour to Sri Lanka. At the time, Russell Domingo was quoted in the media as saying he had massive concerns about Lopsy’s form, fitness and possibly his work ethic. The decision to leave Mr Tsotsobe out of the touring squad was reversed by the CSA Board, as there were no other Black African cricketers in the touring squad.”Although Moosajee stressed that he had no role in selection, he answered questions about whether he thought Khaya Zondo’s exclusion from the ODI team in India in 2015 was a result of racism, specifically by then-captain AB de Villiers. Moosajee said he was not aware of de Villiers’ influence in that selection: “From my understanding the final decision sat with the selection committee, and if we are saying that they are racist, I find it difficult because there were more people of colour on that selection committee than not.”When referred to selector Hussein Manack’s testimony about being pressured by de Villiers on selection and asked about white players’ influence on selection, Moosajee said: “In any team culture and environment, the environment is driven by the senior players and at that time, the senior players happened to be white. It’s different now – you’ve got Kagiso, Temba [Bavuma] as the senior players. Whether they influence actual selection is a separate debate. My understanding is that the captain should not have a vote on selection. On the captain, in my 15 years of working with AB de Villiers, I have never found him to be racist. Whether that was an unconscious bias, we can debate. And if the senior players in any team influence selection then there is a big problem in that.”Moosajee maintained that unconscious bias and ingrained prejudice continues to contribute to divides in South African cricket in all sectors. “Some white players and administrators still need to appreciate the value of diversity, the need to level the playing fields and to break down barriers and some black players and administrators also need to recognise that they have contributed to further divisions in our societies and need to be more inclusive and recognise that good people from all our communities are prepared to be sacrificial leaders and contribute to the desperately needed transformation agenda. A fully transformed and successful team will attract sponsors, contribute to more nations wanting to play series against us and increase earnings through broadcast revenue.”

Diasi only arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2023, signing a six-year deal at the club, but could be on his way to Premier League rivals Aston Villa before the January transfer window closes. The defender has already agreed personal terms with the Villans but negotiations are continuing between the two clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Disasi has struggled to nail down a regular place in the Chelsea starting XI since moving from Monaco and has only made four Premier League starts this season, so a move to Villa may well appeal. Unai Emery is looking for defensive reinforcements following Diego Carlos's exit and with Tyrone Mings having suffered an injury against West Ham.

Villa have already splashed the cash this winter by bringing in Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund. The club are also battling to keep hold of striker Jhon Duran amid reported interest from Real Madrid, PSG and Al-Nassr.

Blistering Tom Banton batters Kent with 47-ball Somerset hundred

Conway and Gregory co-star in crushing ten-wicket victory at Canterbury

Somerset 169 for 0 (Banton 107*, Conway 51*) beat Kent 168 for 8 (Gregory 4-27) by ten wicketsThere have not been many nights as extreme like this in the history of the Blast. A thick mist hung over Canterbury for much of the evening, so sinister that one half expected Sherlock Holmes to come springing out of the gloom at any moment and fire a round of bullets into the Hound as it leapt at Sir Henry’s throat on the path from Merripit to Baskerville Hall. But when the gloom cleared, it did not reveal a detective in a deerstalker, but the tall frame of Tom Banton, whose lost form has also been a bit of a mystery since he pulled out of the Big Bash last winter citing bio-fatigue. A 47-ball hundred, to follow his 77 against Hampshire at Taunton on Friday night, was a welcome restatement of the talents that make him one of the most exciting T20 cricketers in the world.Kent could have gone top with a win, whereas Somerset needed victory to reach joint fourth, and it was Somerset who strolled it by 10 wickets, passing Kent’s moderate 168 for 8 with 26 balls to spare. It was the highest unbroken partnership in the history of the Blast.Alongside Banton, whose fourth Somerset white-ball century finished on 107 from 51 balls, New Zealand’s Devon Conway was a calming influence, chugging along happily for an unbeaten 51. With injuries to middle-order batsmen James Hildreth and Tom Abell, a potent opening partnership has come along with perfect timing.England’s T20 side hardly has a Vacancies side hanging from the window, as far as top-order batsmen are concerned, and the prospects of Banton – and, for that matter, Nottinghamshire’s Joe Clarke – are not helped by the fact that they have also made their marks as opening batsmen, but both deserve to be constantly in the conversation. It’s fair to say any video footage salvaged from St Lawrence mire is not about to be used by the ECB to promote The Hundred, where the sun is always shining and the spectators are awash with smiles, but in the real, no-nonsense world of the Blast, threatening weather and surly pitches can intrude upon the imaginary world of short-form cricket at any moment.Banton made light of that, helped by a wet ball that hampered the bowlers all night. His seven sixes carried a satisfying arithmetical progression that told of his growing confidence: only 57 metres for his first six, as he picked out the short side, then a steady increase in range until he cleared 93 metres for the last as short side or long, it made no difference. The St Lawrence Ground floodlights strove to keep conditions playable, and a sea fret tumbling in from Whitstable, seven miles to the north, was thought to be the culprit. Somerset won the toss and chose to field in the mist, and the decision paid off as they took seven catches, none more impressive than Lewis Gregory’s take over his shoulder to dismiss Alex Blake.A wet ball made life demanding for the bowlers of both teams and Gregory again acquitted himself better than anybody. His first ball was hit straight for six by Daniel Bell-Drummond, making room to the legside, but he emerged from the gloom at the end of his four overs with four for 27 as Kent’s innings fell away.Zak Crawley and Joe Denly were two prize wickets because both were going well enough for Kent to have visions of 180-plus. But Crawley fell short at deep midwicket and Denly was pouched at long on by Marchant de Lange, who overran the ball a touch but then wrapped bucket-like hands around it in unperturbed fashion.Kent’s Powerplay had been sound enough – 53 for the loss of Bell-Drummond, who chipped the last ball of the six overs back to Craig Overton. But Somerset cantered through the Powerplay to make 73 in return, on top from the moment that Banton despatched the former Notts seamer, Matt Milnes, for four boundaries in the second over. Three of his four white-ball Somerset hundreds have come against Kent.”I rode my luck to begin with, a few went just over the fielders but that’s cricket for you,” he said. “Some days they’re going to go straight to hand, so I’ll take it. I was nervous before the Hampshire game because obviously I had a few low scores, I think that’s the nature of how anyone would feel so I tried to exactly what I did last game and it came off.”Banton can be hot-headed at times but on this occasion his shot selection was more assured than it often has been. If he gets that right on a consistent basis, he will be an awesome talent. That is for later: Somerset will just revel in their rising hopes of a place in the last eight and further proof that he is on song again.

Tottenham to start working on their next £25m+ signing for Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham are set to begin work on a potential new signing for Ange Postecoglou in the transfer windows to come, it has been reported, as they look to get a headstart on the competition for his services.

Spurs suffer mixed start to the Premier League

In 2023/24, Ange Postecoglou's new-look Tottenham side set Premier League records, with eight wins and two draws in their opening 10 games seeing them take home 26 points, the most of any manager in their first 10 matches in the competition's history. This time around, expectations are higher and they are yet to truly impress in the same way that they did this time 12 months ago.

They sit 10th in the Premier League over the first international break, having lost to Newcastle United at St James' Park to leave them sat on four points from their opening three games, with a draw at Leicester City on the opening day being followed with a win over Everton.

Ange could unearth his next Bentancur in "top" Spurs academy teen

The Lilywhites talent looks like a promising young player for Ange Postecoglou to work with.

ByDan Emery Sep 9, 2024

There are concerns over squad depth too, with Spurs having seen a whole host of players leave over the summer and now looking light in some areas beyond the first XI. This is especially true of the defence, where all four of Tottenham's regular starters missed games last season; Radu Dragusin was recruited in January from Genoa, while Djed Spence's return is likely to counteract Emerson Royal's departure for AC Milan.

But left-back remains a concern, with no obvious replacement for Destiny Udogie in the Lilywhites squad and the Italian international having missed 10 games last season through injury and suspension, with Sergio Reguilon deemed surplus to requirements. Now, Spurs are moving to deal with that.

Spurs working to sign "Udogie 2.0"

That comes as Sport Witness relay claims in Italy suggesting that Spurs are "ready to launch an attack" to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce this season. The 19-year-old defender was on the Lilywhites radar over the summer as well as Chelsea's, and has enjoyed a strong start to the season for both club and country.

He scored less than a minute into his Denmark debut to help them secure a 2-0 win over Switzerland, before being offered another chance off the bench against Serbia.

Now, the report claims that it could well be "too late" if Tottenham or any other interested club to wait until the end of the campaign to try and sign the defender, and as a result they are ready to start contacts now to try and secure a deal early for a future transfer window, similar to how they negotiated the deal to sign Udogie.

Indeed, Dorgu isn't too different from the Italian defender, with Football Analyst Ben Mattinson dubbing him "Destiny Udogie 2.0" on X and adding that he is "the modern full-back dream" as he "oozes calmness and composure when on the ball".

If Tottenham are serious about their interest, they will have to stump up a hefty fee, with Lecce reportedly holding out for offers in excess of 30m euros (£25m), which is a similar fee to that commanded by Udogie when he was signed. But if Postecoglou's side could pull off the deal, they could well have their left-back role sorted for the next decade.

Farke may now unleash "unbelievable" £3.5m-a-year Leeds player vs Burnley

Daniel Farke may be ready to unleash two returning Leeds United players for their game against Burnley this weekend, according to reports. The Yorkshire side have made a strong start to the new Championship season, as they are unbeaten in their opening four games, picking up a total of eight points, but they will know their upcoming game against the Clarets is a real test.

Leeds struck gold with "destroyer" who's worth more than Ramazani & Solomon

Leeds United continue to reap the rewards of buying this gem.

ByKelan Sarson Sep 9, 2024 Leeds United news and updates

Leeds were very busy in the summer transfer window, as the club lost several big name players and had to work right up until the deadline to find suitable replacements. The Whites added eight players to their squad, but even though the window doesn’t open for another four months, they already have their eye on more new arrivals for 2025.

It has been claimed that Leeds have an interest in AFC Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing, with them plotting a move in the January transfer window. Billing has been a regular for the Cherries, but in recent times has fallen down the pecking order at the club.

The Denmark international has interest from Turkish clubs, and they can still make signings all the way through to the end of this week, as their transfer window doesn't shut until the 13th of September.

However, that hasn’t stopped Leeds from showing an interest, with them already making “serious offers” to sign the player, as Farke wants to add more proven quality to his team. Obviously, this potential deal will have to wait, as Leeds cannot sign any players who are not free agents until January, so the focus will be on the upcoming games, and they may have just received a boost ahead of their match against Burnley.

Farke can now unleash “unbelievable” player after injury update

According to Leeds Live, Leeds may welcome both striker Patrick Bamford and winger Daniel James back to the matchday squad for the game against Burnley. The report states that the experienced forward should be involved in some capacity after what has been a frustrating start to the season, as he missed the last game through a hamstring injury.

Patrick Bamford

The 31-year-old, has been at Elland Road for several seasons now, but as the striker has grown older and injuries have taken their toll, his role at Leeds has changed from leading number nine to super sub, despite taking home over £3.5m-a-year in wages.

Bamford started 15 of the 33 games he played in the Championship last term, and that has continued into this season, as he’s featured in just two of the club’s opening four games of the campaign, with both being appearances from the bench. He played the final 11 minutes against Portsmouth on the opening weekend and the same against West Brom the following week.

Bamford, who was described as “unbelievable” by Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker after his wonder goal against Peterborough in the FA Cup, still has an important role to play however, and his experience will play a big part for Farke coming off the bench in a possible promotion six-pointer against the Clarets this weekend.

Very advanced: Man Utd target Mount’s dream signing in £101k-p/w "machine"

It's been a very busy summer for Manchester United this year, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co have wasted no time improving and overhauling the squad.

The Red Devils have already welcomed Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt, but based on recent reports, they are looking to make even more signings before the window slams shut next week.

Erik ten Hag

One of the stars touted for a move to the club would be a game-changer for Erik ten Hag's midfield and a dream teammate for last summer's second most expensive purchase, Mason Mount.

Manchester United transfer news

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, the Red Devils are pushing ahead to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte.

In fact, the report claims that the talks between the two clubs are 'very advanced' at this stage and that United Sporting Director Dan Ashworth is playing 'a leading role in negotiations.'

Interestingly, the report has also revealed that while the three-time European Champions initially walked away over the French side's valuation of £51m for the midfielder, they are now willing to pay that to get the deal done.

Manuel Ugarte for PSG

It's certainly a lot of money, but the £101k-per-week dynamo could bring a lot of stability to Ten Hag's midfield this season and, therefore, help get the most out of his teammates, including Mount.

Why Ugarte would be a dream teammate for Mount

Now, Ugarte could end up being a dream teammate for Mount for any number of reasons, from his impact in training, overall game or even just his personality, but there is one fundamental reason why he'd be so good for the Englishman's game, and that's his defensive output.

This is because, while the former Chelsea ace is a versatile player, it's clear that his favoured positions on the pitch are in central and attacking midfield, although, with 186 appearances in the latter, that's his most effective position overall.

So, if Ten Hag wants to get the absolute most out of him this season, he'll want his focus to be firmly on happenings at the sharp end of the pitch and not what's happening in his own half and with the PSG ace in his team, he won't need to.

Sporting CP midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

In his career so far, the "defensive monster", as Statman Dave dubbed him, has started 177 games in defensive midfield, 11 in central midfield and one at centre-back, so there is very little ambiguity about his best position.

Moreover, some of his most impressive underlying numbers further cement that he is at his best when playing as a number six.

For example, according to FBref, which compares players in similar positions in Europe's top five leagues, the Champions League and Europa League, the 23-year-old "machine" as dubbed by talent scout Jacek Kulig, sits in the top 1% of midfielders for tackles, ball recoveries, tackles plus interceptions and dribblers tackled, the top 2% for tackles won, and the top 3% for interceptions, all per 90.

Lastly, while it is a lot of money to spend on someone who didn't play a lot of football last season, he's still relatively young. According to research by The Athletic, defensive and central midfielders do not hit their peak until about 25, meaning he has another two years before he should be at his best and at least another five after that until he noticeably declines.

Ultimately, if United want to get the most out of their attacking players this season, including Mount, then signing a mobile and combative six should be a priority. Therefore, Ratcliffe and Co should do what they can to get this deal for Ugarte over the line as soon as possible.

No miracle from Western Australia as Tasmania finish strongly

There were half-centuries from Shaun Marsh and Josh Inglis but the home side never threatened a huge chase

Andrew McGlashan06-Apr-2021There was no miracle chase from Western Australia. They were bowled out midway through the final session of the last day having never seriously threatened to haul in a mammoth 480. When Cameron Gannon was caught at mid-on it confirmed that Queensland would play New South Wales for the title.Tasmania’s success was shared around to secure their second consecutive victory and suggest that, with some more home advantage next season if all goes well, they could be a title contender.Sam Rainbird, the left-armer who is not always a first-choice pick, produced some beautiful late inswing during the second innings to add the key middle-order scalps of Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh – both clipping to well-placed midwickets – to his dismissal of Cameron Bancroft the previous evening. As he had been all season, Jackson Bird was impressive and added three more wickets to his tally including Josh Inglis who was brilliantly caught by Tim Paine after an entertaining 54 off 38 balls to cap a fine season for the wicketkeeper.Western Australia’s slimmest of hopes rested on the perfect day – two sessions of brisk accumulation with, perhaps, just three wickets lost to set up a final-session dash for the line with the middle-order power in their side.Partnerships threatened to build but never developed. Sam Whiteman was caught behind early and Shaun Marsh fell shortly before lunch for a well-made half-century.During the afternoon Green hinted that he could produce something significant and briefly put the foot down, but was undone by some smart captaincy from Matthew Wade when he picked out the squarer of two midwickets placed exactly for the strong clip he played off the pads against Rainbird. However, during the course of his 40 he had passed 900 runs for the season and will finish as the leading run-scorer of the competition. There are many more runs to come from that bat.Two overs later Mitchell Marsh fell in almost identical fashion as he picked out the straighter of the two leg-side catchers and it was only a question of how long it would take Tasmania.Ashton Agar, edging to slip, and Inglis both fell before tea then a 48-run stand between the injured Joel Paris and Matt Kelly briefly delayed the end.Jarrod Freeman broke through shortly before the new ball when Paris shouldered arms and had his off stump taken before the quicks returned to wrap it up.

Jones marked his full debut by scoring England's third in the 3-0 win over Greece in the Nations League. The Liverpool midfielder was on top form for the Three Lions, putting in a stellar performance and finishing the game with a flourish that sparked widespread praise on social media. The 23-year-old revealed after the game that he was simply playing with a smile on his face.

Speaking after the game, Jones said: "When I was out there I was playing free, I had a smile on my face. I was enjoying it and I'm happy it came with a goal as well. The lads around helped. We've got a team where I can go high, come low, I can get on the ball. There are lads there to help and there are also lads who said I could go and Jude stayed back. I had a chance to shoot at their goal and that's what I did. Lucky enough, I scored."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

England's 3-0 win was crucial in putting them in the driving seat to achieve promotion to League A of the Nations League. But for Jones, it was an opportunity to prove to both interim boss Lee Carsley and incoming head coach Thomas Tuchel that he is ready to become a regular starter for his country. And with the likes of Declan Rice left at home for the November internationals, he will likely have another chance to shine this weekend.

Liverpool hit gold with Klopp signing who’s now worth more than Trent

Calmest man in the arena. Trent Alexander-Arnold stepped up when England needed him most, expertly dispatching his decisive penalty, his team's fifth, in the quarter-finals shootout against Switzerland to advance to the semi-finals of Euro 2024, where the Netherlands now await.

The Liverpool vice-captain has been on the periphery this summer after being shoehorned into the centre of the park in the Three Lions' opener and failing to hold a motley crew together against Serbia.

It was always going to be an uphill battle, but Liverpool fans will be safe in their knowledge that their homegrown talent is one of the very best in the business.

Trent Alexander-Arnold celebrates for Liverpool

Courted by Real Madrid and entering the final year of his contract, there's an uneasy focus on the 25-year-old's future, with his technical quality and presence in the Anfield side simply irreplaceable.

However, for all his strengths, he's not the most valuable member of Arne Slot's first team, with one of Jurgen Klopp's later signings actually overtaking him in that regard.

Why Liverpool signed Cody Gakpo

The man in question is none other than Cody Gakpo, who is starting to show signs of growing into the player that Liverpool envisaged when they paid PSV Eindhoven the big bucks to bring him to the Premier League in January 2023.

Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo

Liverpool paid £35m for Netherlands international Gakpo's services, with the dynamic forward having lit up the Dutch Eredivisie and turned global heads onto his journey after an impressive campaign in Qatar, at the 2022 World Cup.

As per FBref, he ranks among the top 18% of forwards across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for assists, the top 6% for shot-creating actions, the top 7% for progressive passes, the top 11% for successful take-ons and the top 8% for tackles per 90.

Liverpool might not feel that they have quite got bang for their buck just yet but Gakpo is a unique attacking outlet and he could positively explode under Slot's leadership in just over one month.

Cody Gakpo's market value in 2024

Hailed for his "special skill set" by Klopp's former assistant manager Pep Lijnders, Gakpo has not seen his market price skyrocket since alighting in Liverpool, but he's made steady progress that has been reflected through his impressive overall tally of 23 goals and nine assists across only 46 starting appearances.

The 25-year-old, who is thriving at the Euros and has notched three goals and an assist over five matches for Oranje – set to meet England at the penultimate hurdle on Wednesday – has so much more to give, but this is a wonderful illustration of just how talented a player the Reds have at their disposal.

Make no mistake, some of the listed market prices below are a tad modest, but there's no question that numbers have been crunched to accurately establish the most important and marketable members of the Anfield crop. Alexander-Arnold, despite his glittering quality, doesn't even make the grade, with the site recording his current market value at £33m, likely due to his contract situation.

Liverpool's Cody Gakpo.

Supporters might be yearning for new signings on Merseyside, but if Alexander-Arnold is kept on the books and Gakpo is provided the license to thrive under his countryman's tutelage, Liverpool might just find they have the tools to sculpt the illustrious success they so dearly crave.
