خاض فريق مانشستر سيتي، بقيادة المدرب بيب جوارديولا، مباراته في الجولة الثانية من بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز ظهر يوم السبت، ضد خصمه فريق توتنهام.

واستضاف ملعب “الاتحاد” مباراة فريقي مانشستر سيتي وتوتنهام، في إطار منافسات الموسم الجديد من بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي، 2025/26.

وتعرض مانشستر سيتي للهزيمة أمام جماهيره على يد توتنهام، بهدفين دون رد. أهداف مباراة مانشستر سيتي وتوتنهام في الدوري الإنجليزي

وتسبب إيرلينج هالاند في احتساب ركلة حرة مباشرة لصالح توتنهام، من مكان خطير على مقربة من منطقة الجزاء، بعد تدخله ضد ريتشارليسون في الدقيقة الثامنة.

ونفذ بيدرو بورو الركلة الحرة، حيث اصطدمت كرته بالحائط البشري قبل أن ترتد وتصل من جديد إليه، ليسددها ويتصدى لها الحارس جيمس ترافورد.

وكاد عمر مرموش أن يسجل هدف أول لصالح مانشستر سيتي، بعدما استفاد من خطأ من دفاع توتنهام، وسدد كرة مرت بجوار القائم، في الدقيقة التاسعة.

وتصدى حارس مرمى توتنهام، فيكاريو، لفرصة هدف من عمر مرموش بعدما سدد الأخير كرته، ولكن الحارس تصدى وتألق، في الدقيقة 12.

وسقط ريان آيت نوري على أرض الملعب حيث احتاج إلى تدخل من الطاقم الطبي لفريق مانشستر سيتي، في الدقيقة 15، قبل أن يتمكن من اللعب مجددًا.

وشهدت الدقيقة 21 اضطرار المدرب بيب جوارديولا إلى استبدال آيت نوري، حيث لم يتمكن من استكمال اللقاء بسبب الإصابة، ونزل مكانه ناثان آكي.

وأهدر مرموش فرصة لا تُهدر، في الدقيقة 28، بعدما مرر هالاند الكرة ناحيته، وأصبح المصري في موقف مثالي للتسجيل، وسدد ولكن فيكاريو تصدى من جديد.

وسجل توتنهام هدف أول في الدقيقة 35 من عمر الشوط الأول، بعد تمريرة من ريتشارليسون إلى جونسون، ولكن تم إلغائه من قِبل حكم الراية، قبل أن تتدخل تقنية الفيديو لتؤكد صحته، ويتقدم الضيوف.

وطالب توتنهام بضربة جزاء، في الدقيقة 39، بداعِ تدخل من تيجاني ريندرز ضد بيدرو بورو، ولكن الحكم لم يحتسب أي شئ.

وتمكن توتنهام من تسجيل الهدف الثاني في شباك مانشستر سيتي، في الدقيقة الثانية من الوقت المحتسب بدلَا من الضائع للشوط الأول.

جاء هدف توتنهام الثاني عن طريق بالينيا، بعد خطأ فادح من الحارس جيمس ترافورد، حيث مرر كرة بدون تركيز إلى دفاع مانشستر سيتي، واستغل ريتشارليسون الهفوة وحاول تسديد الكرة.

ولكن ريتشارليسون لم يتعامل مع كرته جيدًا، لترتد وتصل إلى بالينيا الذي سددها على الفور في شباك مانشستر سيتي، وسط حسرة من ترافورد.

وكاد فيكاريو أن يتسبب في خطأ لصالح مانشستر سيتي، بعدما مرر كرة لم تكن دقيقة ناحية دفاع توتنهام، في الدقيقة 52، ولكن إيرلينج هالاند لم يستغل الفرصة، قبل أن يطلق الحكم صافرته لوجود خطأ من ريان شرقي.

وقرر المدرب بيب جوارديولا إجراء تبديلين، في الدقيقة 53، حيث خرج كل من عمر مرموش وريان شرقي، ونزل مكانهما جيريمي دوكو وبرناردو سيلفا.

وسنحت فرصة هدف ثالث لصالح توتنهام، بعدما سدد ريتشارليسون كرة مرت أعلى عارضة مرمى مانشستر سيتي، في الدقيقة 60.

وحاول مانشستر سيتي الوصول إلى منطقة جزاء توتنهام لتقليص النتيجة، ولكن لم يتمكن من إحداث فارق، وسط أداء قوي من جانب كتيبة توماس فرانك.

وتصدى جيمس ترافورد، حارس مانشستر سيتي، لفرصة هدف لصالح توتنهام في اللحظات الأخيرة، بعدما نجح في منع اهتزاز شباكه بهدف ثالث، حيث تصدى لفرصتين متتاليتين.

بتلك النتيجة، ارتفع رصيد توتنهام إلى 6 نقاط في صدارة الدوري الإنجليزي، بينما تجمد رصيد مانشستر سيتي عند 3 نقاط ويتراجع إلى المركز الخامس.

The Leagues Cup has stirred up all kinds of opinions – and not all of them good. From fan backlash to criticism from coaches and players, the tournament’s format has been under fire since day one. But not everyone’s against it. For Tigres head coach Guido Pizarro, this competition is more opportunity than an obstacle.

Speaking ahead of Tigres’ final group-stage match, Pizarro made it clear he’s in favor of the tournament – not just for his team, but for the overall growth of both Liga MX and MLS. 

“I like coming to play these kinds of tournaments,” he said. “They help both leagues grow. And honestly, punishing coaches for voicing their opinions? That feels a bit over the top.”

While some coaches like Domènec Torrent and Antonio Mohamed have raised concerns about the tournament’s structure, Pizarro prefers to focus on the positives. And so far, that mindset is paying off.

Tigres have looked like one of the most complete teams in this year’s Leagues Cup. Backed by strong performances and the firepower of new signing Ángel Correa,  who already has four goals in the tournament, the northern Mexican side is quickly emerging as one of the favorites to lift the trophy.

Middlesex took charge of their Vitality County Championship match against Glamorgan in Cardiff, finishing the day on 62 without loss having bowled out the hosts for 183.Tom Helm was the most impressive of the bowlers, claiming 4 for 44 as Middlesex made the most of the decision to bowl first. He was well supported by Ethan Bamber, Toby Roland-Jones and Ryan Higgins who chipped in with wickets.The top-scorer for Glamorgan was Zain-ul-Hassan who made 34 after the top order had been removed by the Middlesex seamers.Middlesex batted for 21 overs at the end of the day and were 122 runs behind Glamorgan’s first-innings total at the close.The Glamorgan openers started out positively with Marnus Labuschagne and Eddie Byrom scoring nine boundaries inside the opening hour of the game. Labuschagne was showing a lot of attacking intent throughout his stay at the crease and that led to his downfall. He drove hard at a ball from Helm and was caught by wicketkeeper Jack Davies.It was the introduction of Ryan Higgins that brought about the end of Byrom, a sharp bouncer taking his gloves and ballooning up for a simple catch by Davies. Kiran Carlson was the next to go, and as with Labuschagne he drove at a ball with hard hands to be caught in the slips by Higgins.When these two teams met in the first match of the season Sam Northeast made the highest score at Lord’s when he plundered 335 not out from this attack. It was a different story here as he struggled to get started and never really settled. He was bowled by a snorter of a delivery from Helm that tore his off stump out the ground.When Helm dismissed Chris Cooke two balls later, bowled with a ball the batter left alone, Glamorgan were 92 for 5. That became 92 for 6 when Colin Ingram, the leading run scorer in first-class cricket this season, played a ball onto his stumps for 10 off the bowling of Bamber.Amidst the wickets tumbling at the other end Zain was playing a tidy innings and had reached 34 when he was caught at slip by Leus du Plooy via an attempted reverse pull, as Glamorgan had stumbled to 103 for 7.Andy Gorvin and Mason Crane held up the Middlesex attack for a stand of 31 before Gorvin was caught off a top-edged hook shot for 12.Crane made a career best 61 against Northamptonshire in April and he showed good application with the bat in this game as he finished undefeated on 32.
